Governance & Evaluation
Need More Outdoors Board of Director provides guidance and strategic oversight of the organization. The current board has been established to get Need More Outdoors off the ground. As the organization evolves, the board will be expanded and a more formal line up of directors will be established.
Donor Privacy
It is our policy to never share or sell the names, addresses, phone numbers, or email addresses of our donors.
Diversity and Inclusion
We believe that our commitment to diversity and inclusion builds a stronger, more powerful community – both for the outdoor community and the western North Carolina community. We believe that nature does not discriminate. It is our belief that outdoor recreation is a way to help young people become more confident, healthier and more comfortable with finding their place in nature.

Introduction – Need More Outdoors is committed to safe-guarding the personal privacy of its donors, participants, clients, customers and visitors to its websites. This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) details the information that may be collected, how we use your personally identifiable information and how we protect it from inadvertent disclosure.
Terms – This Privacy Policy applies only to websites operated by or on behalf of Need More Outdoors and specifically to those websites hyperlinked to this Privacy Policy (the “Sites”). The references to “Need More Outdoors,” “we” or “our” in this Privacy Policy mean Need More Outdoors, the North Carolina nonprofit corporation. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any non-electronic data collection.
Our website does include links to the websites of other companies and third parties. Need More Outdoors is not responsible for the content, practices, privacy policies or terms of usage of those websites.
Collection and Use – Donating your time or money to Need More Outdoors will require that you provide personally identifiable information: Need More Outdoors does not collect any personally identifiable information from the Sites unless it is provided voluntarily. We use personally identifiable information only for purposes consistent with the reasons for its provision, such as:
Making a Donation: First off, thank you. Need More Outdoors will only be successful with the exceptional generosity of our family of donors. By making a gift, you’re helping to support young people get outside. In order to complete your donation, we collect information associated with your credit card to bill for payment, including your name, address, phone number and other identifying information reasonably necessary to complete the transaction.
Information Requests: You may be asked to provide personally identifiable information so that we may respond to your requests for information made through the Sites or its Contact Us link.
Database Usage: We will give you the opportunity to opt out of any service that uses your personal information stored in our database.
In the event of a transfer, merger or reorganization involving Need More Outdoors, your personally identifiable information shall be transferred to the acquiring company.
